Datejust 36 Gold & Steel

Datejust 36 Gold & Steel
Two-tone Rolexes are found in the majority of the brand’s collections, and typically feature yellow gold and platinum combinations. The Rolex Datejust model was introduced in 1945 as the first waterproof, self-winding calendar chronometer that automatically changed the date in the dial window. A new dial design and case were featured on the Datejusts of the 1970s, which also had smaller profiles. Sapphire crystal replaced the watch’s plastic crystal, ensuring the timepiece as one of the brand’s most sought-after models. Today, the Rolex Datejust is available in a number of designs and styles, including two-tone options.
